Health, safety and COVIDSafe Plans

COVIDSafe Plan

Before reopening your business, each ‘Permitted Work Premises’ in Metropolitan Melbourne (as determined by the State Government) must complete a COVIDSafe Plan prior to resuming operations.

Only businesses with fewer than five staff in the workplace are exempt from needing to complete a COVIDSafe plan. However, the Victorian Chamber and the Victorian Government strongly advise you to complete one and action it to ensure a safe workplace.

You can download the COVIDSafe Plan Template and COVIDSafe Plan Factsheet below.

More information on the COVIDSafe Plans can be found on the Business Victoria website.

If you would like to engage one of the Chamber’s team of Health, Safety and Wellbeing experts to prepare a COVIDSafe plan for your business, contact 03 8662 5196 or email

Face masks

The State Government has determined that all Victorians must wear face masks indoors, except when in your own home, as well as maintaining 1.5 metres of distance from other people.

The Victorian Government has partnered with the Victorian Chamber and Ai Group to assist businesses struggling to find supply for face masks.

We have resources and information on sourcing face masks for your business, and a comprehensive employer guide (exclusive for members) on keeping your employees and business safe, which can be accessed below.
