Anne’s background is diverse, serving with the Victoria Police for eleven years in operational policing and as Media Adviser to the Assistant Commissioner, Traffic. In these roles, she was tasked with writing press releases, newspaper and magazine articles and was responsible for advising the Commissioner on all aspects of road safety and media strategies.

Anne left the police force to become Senior Ministerial Adviser to the Deputy Premier and Minister for Policing, Corrections and Tourism which provided her the experience to extend her writing skills to include the preparation of new legislation, legislative amendments and Cabinet documentation.

Anne holds tertiary qualifications in Writing and English Literature and Political Science as well as a Master of Education (Leadership and Management). She facilitates the Victorian Chamber’s business writing courses, including report writing, tender and proposal writing, email and incident report writing as well as communication skills, dealing with difficult customers, presentation skills and media training programs.
