We are proud to launch a new Business Boost Webinar Series aimed at supporting business during lockdown and prepare them for reopening with free, 45-minute webinars featuring subject matter experts.

Apprenticeships and traineeships are an important pathway for Victoria’s future talent to enter the workforce in a highly supported way and are available to anyone of eligible working age.

Join us on Tuesday 9 November where we will discuss the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements Wage Subsidy and how to recruit, train and retain apprentices featuring guest speaker Cassandra Hurst, Apprenticeship Support Australia Manager, Field Operations.

This webinar will discuss how to recruit an apprentice or trainee, selecting the appropriate qualification and a quality registered training organization, correct award wage entitlements, employer obligations, government funding and access support for trainees with complex issues.

Attendees will also have the chance to have key questions answered via a live Q&A.

About the presenter

Cassandra Hurst - Apprenticeship Support Australia Manager, Field Operations.

Cassandra Hurst has more than 15 years’ experience in the VET sector in the capacity of various senior management, business development, account management roles specifically relating to the delivery of Australian Apprenticeships Support Services across Victoria.

She was previously manager for school-based Apprenticeships across Victoria focusing on engagement in education and employment programs for secondary school students before moving on to the Victorian Chamber, where she was responsible for the supervision and leadership of more than 25 Australian Apprenticeship Field Consultants across six offices in Metropolitan Victoria.

Currently as ASA Manager, Field Operations, Cassandra manages the day-to-day operations of Melbourne and Target Services across the State.
