Are you missing something? Free Employer Health Check can identify gaps in business compliance

07 September 2021

The VCCI's new self-assessment tool will help you determine if you have sufficient knowledge and processes within key areas to ensure you understand your obligations.

Employers have onerous obligations and the cost of getting it wrong can be substantial including legal action and penalties. Don’t risk it. Smaller enterprises don’t have the luxury of a dedicated human resources team and often come to the Victorian Chamber for help, so we have created an online tool to help determine if your systems and processes are up to scratch.

Employers must ensure employees get paid on time and in full, evaluate requests for leave and flexible working arrangements, and, in some cases, make terminations and redundancies. If you're in charge of these human resources functions, you know how important it is to make sure your business is compliant.

The Victorian Chamber is proud to launch the Employer Health Check - our new, free, interactive online tool created to help employers determine if they have sufficient knowledge and processes in place across Workplace Relations and Health, Safety and Wellbeing.

Available to members and non-members, the self-assessment tool covers a wide range of topics and assists employers to identify the areas they need to focus on.

Key areas covered include:

  • Wages and award interpretation
  • Performance management and termination
  • Redundancy
  • Parental leave and flexible working arrangements
  • Fair Work Commission
  • Occupational safety
  • Workers’ Compensation
  • Mental health
  • Domestic and family violence
  • Workplace manslaughter

It takes just five minutes to complete and, at the end, participants can indicate if they wish to receive a free call from a member of our Workplace Relations or Health, Safety and Wellbeing team to kickstart their development using a variety of tailored resources through the Chamber. With a mix of free webinars, factsheets, training courses and consulting services, the Resources Hub will have something for everyone.
