Boosting Victoria’s manufacturing capabilities

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is looking for your input on the future of Victoria’s manufacturing sector.

The Victorian Chamber will be targeting specific industry sectors for input from members over the coming weeks as it forms its policy and advocacy priorities in the lead-up to the State Election in November.

Manufacturing is an integral part in the story of prosperity in Victoria, being home to over 13,000 businesses across the sector.

With continuing technological advancement and the shifting focus on advanced manufacturing, the Chamber wants to hear from the manufacturing sector about what changes you would like to see.

It’s critical for us to hear from members on what policy settings and initiatives we should be specifically advocating for to increase the growth of Victoria’s manufacturers.

The Chamber would like to receive responses to questions like the following:

  • What are the biggest challenges for the growth of Victoria’s manufacturing sector?
  • How can Victoria’s manufacturing sector growth be supercharged?
  • What can the Victorian government do to support the growth of Victorian manufacturing?
  • How should the manufacturing sector work together to ensure Victoria remains the leader of Australian manufacturing and competitive in international markets?
  • What should be included in Victoria’s manufacturing strategy?

To provide your thoughts, discuss this further or arrange a meeting, please contact the Victorian Chamber’s Policy and Advocacy team at policy@victorianchamber.com.au before Friday 1 July, 2022.

In the coming weeks we are issuing consultation callouts to discuss Victoria’s:
