Ahead of what is sure to be an interesting year, the Victorian Chamber delivered yet another successful Victoria Summit yesterday at Parliament House in Melbourne. This is our flagship policy event and we were delighted to present our policy recommendations to more than 100 industry leaders. Insightful keynote addresses from Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and Leader of the Opposition Matthew Guy spoke to attendees about their priorities for business leading up to the 2018 State Election.

Together with Melbourne Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dianne Smith, the Victorian Chamber presented and discussed 26 priority policy recommendations, out of a total of 125 identified by the Victorian Chamber, which are all very important to Victoria’s success heading into 2018 and beyond.

The Victoria Summit was the culmination of many months work for the Victorian Chamber’s policy team, having held a comprehensive series of 12 workshops and three forums across metropolitan and regional Victoria during the year. Our recommendations represent a wonderful example of cooperation, engagement and collaboration with our many members and stakeholders, and each aims to increase our competitiveness and make Victorian businesses even more successful.

In the lead up to the 2018 State Election, will continue to advocate to all political parties to adopt our policy recommendations. Please be sure to follow our social media channels for ongoing information regarding our policy priorities. View the full suite of Victorian Chamber recommendations.
