Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Acting Chief Executive Bryce Prosser said this vital project will benefit residents and businesses in Melbourne’s South-East.

“The Mordialloc Bypass project will reduce travel times which will improve productivity and promote growth and jobs in the Kingston region.”

Mr Prosser said congestion is a major issue for a growing city like Melbourne, so projects such as this and investment in regional roads are vital for our state’s future.

“Transport has received significant investment in this budget and by improving connectivity across the state and reducing travel times, we expect increased productivity for many Victorian businesses. This will boost the confidence of all Victorian businesses and promote jobs growth,” Mr Prosser said.

“The funding is a part of an almost $2 billion package to upgrade regional roads announced in Tuesday’s 2017-18 State Budget.”
