02 June 2022

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is inviting you to have your say to help shape the future of Victoria’s education and training system

The Victorian Chamber will be targeting specific industry sectors for input from members over the coming weeks as it forms its policy and advocacy priorities in the lead-up to the State Election in November.

Victoria is known as the ‘Education State’ and works hard to deliver world-class outcomes for business through our education and training system.

Schools, vocational education, university and other education are critical to the development of the skills employers need.

With technological advancement, ongoing skills shortages, and emerging industries, we want to hear from you about what changes you would like to see and what policy settings will improve outcomes for you.

The Chamber would like to receive responses to questions including:

  • What are the biggest challenges the education and training system has in delivering work-ready, industry-relevant workers?
  • What barriers do you experience in accessing training to retrain and upskill workers?
  • How should the education and training system be improved to ensure Victoria remains a leader in education?
  • What can the Victorian government do to improve the education and training system?

To provide your thoughts, discuss this further or arrange a meeting, please contact the Victorian Chamber’s Policy and Advocacy team at policy@victorianchamber.com.au before Monday 20 June, 2022.

In the coming weeks we will also issue consultation callouts to discuss Victoria’s:
