Taking a proactive approach to Victoria’s energy crisis

All Australians are feeling the pinch from the energy crisis, not least business.

The rising cost of electricity and gas, and threats to energy supplies are presenting significant challenges for business, jeopardising competitiveness and, in some cases, ongoing operation.

The Victorian Chamber is working with the Victorian Government to understand the current constraints facing Victorian businesses and advocate for support that is tailored and fit for purpose, which would achieve the greatest outcomes through a short survey.

Your input will directly help shape the policy response from Government.

While the energy crisis is hurting business, the Victorian Chamber recognises the importance for industry to seize the economic opportunity of growth in sectors like renewables, waste recovery, carbon technologies and transport.

With your support, we can maximise the efficiency of the transition from traditional energy sources without harming businesses.

We believe a proactive approach would create jobs, provide economic benefits to business, and offer innovative commercialisation opportunities for businesses to grow.

With all Australian states committed to decarbonising their activities and as the proportion of renewables increases, the greatest challenge lies within advancing these technologies to a national scale to provide security, reliability, and affordability for consumers and industry.

Complete the survey here

It will take no longer than five minutes to complete and closes Friday June 24 at 12.00pm.

Participating businesses will have the choice to opt in to partake in case studies or media appearances if the opportunities arises.
