Mr Johnson has been a fundamental supporter of VTIC since its inception, assisting it to become the peak advocacy and policy body for the Victorian tourism sector.

“Mr Johnson has been instrumental in shaping and contributing to the strategic direction of the Victorian tourism and events industry for over a decade, cementing it as a key pillar of our state’s economy” said Victorian Chamber Chief Executive, Mark Stone.

“Not only has Mr Johnson successfully elevated the status of the Victorian tourism and events industry both within Australia and internationally, but since 2002 has been the Chief Executive Officer of one of our state’s most successful organisations, Sovereign Hill”.

We would like to congratulate Mr Charles Davidson who will succeed Mr Johnson as Chair of the VTIC Board, effective 1 July, 2016. Mr Davidson is currently a VTIC Board Director and Founder and Director of Peninsula Hot Springs.

As an advocate of Victorian business, Mr Johnson will remain on the Executive Council of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and continue his role as Vice President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
