The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry today congratulates Jeremy Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of The Sovereign Hill Museums Association, on his appointment as President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr Johnson is a current member of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Executive Council and was previously President from 2008 to 2010.
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Don Rankin said; “I congratulate Jeremy on his significant appointment. Jeremy is a long-standing advocate for Victorian business and particularly for regional Victoria, where his business, Sovereign Hill, is based.”
Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief Executive Mark Stone AM said Mr Johnson had a long association with the Victorian Chamber, having been elected to its Board of Directors in 2002 to 2011, and then again in 2013.
“The Victorian Chamber looks forward to continuing our relationship with Jeremy as he takes on the role of President of the Australian Chamber and working with him to ensure Australian business is more competitive in a rapidly changing environment.”
Jeremy Johnson has been the Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Hill, the outdoor heritage museum at Ballarat, since 2002 and served as Vice President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry from November 2015.
Mr Johnson was elected as President by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board at its General Council meeting today.
