Yesterday, we welcomed news of the Turnbull Government’s $5 billion funding commitment to bring forward the construction of a Melbourne Airport rail link, which has been a longstanding priority of the Victorian Chamber.
The airport rail link will reduce congestion at the airport and on the Tullamarine Freeway, stimulate economic growth in residential and commercial corridors between the city and Melbourne Airport and help move tourists to metro and regional tourism attractions. In other news, this week, the Victorian Chamber was delighted to formally announce our partnership with the State Government to present the 2018 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.

On the events front, we are excited to present the first member-only event in the ignite series, our new initiative that will position Victorian business and research as world leaders in innovation, creativity and technology development.
At ignite+RMIT, you will hear from three leading experts as they highlight their exciting breakthroughs in nanotechnology and how these can benefit businesses and the wider community.
The ignite series will shine a light on great minds at the forefront of innovation and help Chamber members discover potential partnerships to research, develop and commercialise innovative products, services, business models and processes.
