This week, the Victorian Chamber was proud to release our Transport Taskforce Report: Gearing up for Success, which will provide the Victorian Government with a suite of effective and integrated transport solutions available to improve the State’s transport system.
The report, developed by the Victorian Chamber in partnership with a team of industry experts and led by board member Brian Negus, sets out how Victoria’s transport system can meet the challenges of strong population and trade growth.
The recommendations contained within the Transport Taskforce Report strengthen the economy, support trade and investment, boost tourism, help get people to where jobs are and improve liveability across the state
Transport system improvement is a long-standing priority for the Victorian Chamber and part of our 2018 Election Campaign, Stronger Business Stronger Victoria.
Last week, we were also delighted to launch the winter edition of the Victorian Chamber's Business Excellence Magazine. This transport-themed edition, titled Keeping Victoria Moving, features insights into the innovative work being undertaken by Victorian companies which play a key role within the State’s diverse transport system.
This issue also explores different visions of what is needed for the system to meet increasing demand from both business and the wider community. Read Keeping Victoria Moving.
In other news, in the lead up to the State Election, the Victorian Chamber has continued to host our Business Election Luncheons with MPs and local member businesses in key electorates across the State. In the last couple of weeks we have been delighted to be joined by the Hon Ben Carroll MP, the Hon David Davis MP and the Hon Peter Walsh MP, and we look forward to connecting other Members of Parliament and business leaders in the coming months.
