Cancellation requests must be made with a minimum of one business day of notice prior to the pick-up date. Cancellations cannot be allowed once the carnet pick-up date has been reached. Standard cancellation fees apply to all cancellations for standard carnets. The fee is waived if the Carnet request is cancelled before close of business on the same day the request was submitted. High priority cancellation fees apply to high priority carnet applications.

A security payment is required in addition to the above issuing fees. This can come in the form of a refundable deposit bond or a non-refundable indemnity premium.

Replacement Carnets

A replacement Carnet can be issued in special circumstances to replace the original Carnet if your goods cannot return to Australia before the expiry date of the original Carnet. An approval to issue a replacement Carnet is generally required from customs in the country of importation. Please contact us at least six to eight weeks before the expiry of the original Carnet if a replacement is required. The cost to obtain a replacement is the same as a new Carnet.

Some countries (such as USA and Japan) do not accept replacement Carnets and the goods must return to Australia within the validity of the original Carnet.
