What is the Chamber Change program?

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Chamber Change program provides women in business with the opportunity to mentor, network, empower and grow alongside each other.

Launched in July 2022, Chamber Change is guided by a select group of Champions, along with our in-house Victorian Chamber experts who present on subjects such as Media and Presentation skills; Workplace Health and Safety; and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).

Each session is held at the Victorian Chamber head office in Melbourne and runs for approximately three hours. It features presentations by two Champions and a Victorian Chamber expert with Q&A opportunities, a networking workshop and lunch.

The program has also inspired additional experiences including Chamber Change Networking events a few times each year which provide opportunities for our alumni participants, VCCI Experts and Champions to connect with other likeminded women in business; and our Chamber Change Regional one day events across Victoria.

We were honoured to have Chamber Change recognised as a finalist in the Gender Equality category of the World Chambers Competition at the 13th World Chambers Congress in Geneva. Being recognised on the world stage showcases the impact the program has had on female empowerment and growth potential.

The Chamber Change program

Each program is delivered over three months and includes three sessions, all of which are three hours in duration.

• One session a month over three months
• Three-hour duration
• Two Champions presenting
• One Victorian Chamber Expert presenting
• Networking workshops to meet and hear from likeminded women
• Networking lunch

Topics of focus – Chamber Change Champions:

	Balance: How to balance career, home, partnerships, health and mental load
	Empower: How to embrace challenges and self-confidence to take opportunities
	Career Journey: Decision-making, promotions, stepping back and stepping forward.

We value their contribution and passion and have sought to further propel these Champions in their own careers by nominating them for external speaking and media and communication opportunities.

Chamber Change Champions are invited to become part of the program via non-transferrable personal invitations which ensures the calibre of our leaders. They are senior executive women derived from our Melbourne Chamber of Commerce membership base, Victorian Chamber Board and Executive Council. Our Champions tell their stories under the topics of Balance, Empower and Career Journey.

The levels of interest and dedication from these senior leaders has been inspiring and we are immensely grateful for their ongoing contribution. Our Champions are extremely generous, candid, and honest in their presentations.

Our ambition is that at the conclusion of each of our programs, organic networks will have formed both with other Chamber Change Champions and program participants.

The Victorian Chamber provides digital accreditation to all Chamber Change Champions, experts and participants which they can display on professional social media platforms such as LinkedIn to show that they’re part of this important community.

How to apply for our Chamber Change Program

Chamber Change Program Five & Program Six are open to our members to apply.

Participants must hold a current membership to apply via our Expression of Interest process. The eligible membership tiers are as follows:

• Victorian Chamber of Commerce EMPLOYER membership
• Melbourne Chamber of Commerce ASCEND membership
• Melbourne Chamber of Commerce ADVANCE membership
• Melbourne Chamber of Commerce ACCESS membership

Please note that spaces are limited, and applicants are not guaranteed a position in the program.

Program Five:

Session 1 - Wednesday 20 March 2024 
Session 2 - Wednesday 17 April 2024 
Session 3 - Wednesday 15 May 2024

Program Six:

Session 1 - Wednesday 19 June 2024
Session 2 - Wednesday 21 August 2024
Session 3 - Wednesday 18 September 2024

**Please note it is very important for participants to attend all three sessions.
