Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry and will receive a construction induction card issued by WorkSafe Victoria within 60 days.

One full day (9:30am-4:30pm).

Assessments

The assessment will take place progressively during the session and will include:

• Questions and answers
• Demonstration of correct fitting and use of PPE

The assessment must be finalised at the end of the course and if competency has been achieved and demonstrated, a Statement of Attainment will be issued on the day.

Who is this course suitable for?

Everyone working on construction sites in Victoria needs a Construction Induction Card (White card) to prove they have completed basic construction occupational health and safety induction training.

Due to the interactive nature of this course and the assessment being conducted mostly verbally and by direct demonstration, with minimum writing, participants must have basic English understanding, speaking, reading and writing abilities.

As part of the enrolment process, you must complete a pre-training review. The pre-training review is a tool used to determine if the course you are enrolling into is the most suitable and appropriate course for you, and will help us:

• Ascertain the most suitable qualification(s) for you to enrol in based on your current educational attainment, capabilities including language, literacy and numeracy, aspirations and interests
• Determine your training and assessment needs

2. Get certified copies of your ID
   • As part of your application, we require certified copies of your ID and proof of Victorian residency
3. Complete enrolment form and pre-training review
4. Apply online and upload all of the above
