Duration and commitment

The Diploma will take a minimum of 12 months to complete and includes 12 full day sessions (9:30AM – 4:30PM) scheduled at least once a month. Attendance for each session is 100% mandatory, as each session will cover a different unit of competency.

Victorian Chamber are committed to providing flexible and accessible training opportunities. To achieve this, we have adopted a rolling intake approach for our courses. This will allow you to commence your studies at various points throughout the year, rather than being limited to fixed semester start dates. It is important to note that the duration of the program is the same for all students.

For further details regarding the 2024 scheduled dates or the next rolling intake, please contact training@victorianchamber.com.au.

Assessments

Our programs consist of a combination of face-to-face sessions and self-directed learning and assessment activities. Whilst it is difficult to predict the exact time allocation required to complete the self-directed learning activities and/or the non-routine applied learning activities in the workplace, a significant personal time commitment is required from you to successfully complete all requirements to gain your qualification.

Assessments are generally due prior to the following session and have been designed to holistically assess the competence in each unit and are made up of a variety of assessment tasks and may include the following:

  • Written questions
  • Case studies
  • Project work
  • Demonstration, observation and/or role-play

- Current Diploma of Leadership and Management Student

During 2022 I studied the Diploma of Leadership and Management with trainer Di Pierce who is very skilled and knowledgeable on all the subjects covered. I must mention her positive can-do personality and that she went above and beyond to ensure our success including attending our study group’s zoom session after hours in her own time when we had some questions regarding an assignment. Thank you Di for your dedication.
