Two renowned and successful female leaders will join us for lunch on Thursday 5 March - Rt Hon Lord Mayor of Melbourne Sally Capp and Helen Parker OAM, Founder and CEO of The Babes Project.
Sally will share with us her career journey including what motivates her, the challenges she has faced and the reasons behind her success.
Helen will speak to the importance of empowering women and how we can all benefit and learn from each other. She will also tell her personal story of turning failure into success.
These presentations will be followed by Q&A session with Workplace Assured’s Southern Region State Manager, Lama Tiavo.

About the speakers
Rt Hon Lord Mayor of Melbourne Sally Capp
Sally Capp was elected Lord Mayor of Melbourne in May 2018, the first woman to be directly elected as Lord Mayor. She chairs the Major Projects portfolio and the Major Events portfolio.
Sally was also the first woman to hold the post of Agent-General for Victoria in the UK, Europe and Israel. She has also served as the CEO for the Committee for Melbourne and COO of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A passionate Magpies supporter, in 2004 Sally made history as the first female board member of Collingwood FC. She is involved in a number of charities, currently sitting on the board of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute, the Mary Jane Lewis Scholarship Foundation and the Melbourne University Faculty of Business and Economics.
Helen Parker OAM, Founder and CEO – The Babes Project
After facing her own crisis pregnancy at the age of 20 with limited support, Helen established The Babes Project in 2009 with the goal of ensuring women had access to the help and care needed as they prepared for parenting. Helen continues to run The Babes Project with a fierce determination to expand the organisation until every woman in Australia knows she can access support in her pregnancy.
