Directors from ten large Tianjin companies were welcomed to the Victorian Chamber’s head office and engaged in business matching with local Victorian companies. With a collective annual turnover of AUD $30 billion, the opportunity to meet with these visiting Chinese businesses was a valuable one for local companies. One local business said that “the level of trust that is presented through Chamber to Chamber business matching [like today’s event] is valuable to us. You can assume that the companies here today are reliable and will demonstrate integrity”.

Major industry sectors represented included retail, real estate, construction, manufacturing, food and fiber, logistics, aviation, new energy and vocational education. The Tianjin businesses enjoyed the opportunity to meet with Victorian companies and look forward to doing future business together.

The visiting delegation were also warmly welcomed by Melbourne Chamber of Commerce members RSM where they were treated to a lively discussion on the Victorian business environment, industry structure and taxation laws.
