COVID-19 Industry Guidelines – Everything you need to know to reopen your business in Victoria

As COVID-19 restrictions loosen, Victoria’s economy has started to gradually reopen, which means many businesses and their employees can get back to work. There are resources available to help businesses resume and increase operations in line with each step of the State Government’s roadmap to recovery. Building the community’s confidence that their health and safety is being protected will help our economy recover faster.

Businesses previously subjected to closures, including hospitality, tourism, sport and recreation, creative and cultural experiences, beauty and personal care, need to create a plan that takes Industry Guidelines for Coronavirus (COVID-19) listed below into account, as well as guidance from WorkSafe Victoria and the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations for premises registered under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008.

The Victorian Chamber’s free COVID-19 Business Restart Checklist is a great place to start. We also have a comprehensive Restart Guide available that can be used as the basis of your required Restart Plan. Our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Consultants can work with you to customise your guide or prepare your Restart Plan and ensure you aren’t the subject of unwanted publicity as the next ‘COVID-19 cluster.’ Contact our HSW team on 8662 5333 or email
