The bushfire recovery grants provide support for businesses to repair and replace damaged equipment, tools, property and other assets. They can also be used to reimburse costs associated with clean-up and restoration.

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been working with the Victorian Government since February 2020 to deliver the Small Business Bushfire Recovery Grants Victoria program.

Many businesses from bushfire affected areas have already applied. Across Victoria there are 18 shires and four alpine areas which are eligible for support. For more information see the Victorian Chamber website.

The grants have been a lifeline for numerous small businesses and not-for-profit orgranisations.

The support has allowed them to rebuild offices and workshops, replace spoilt stock, burnt machinery and equipment and undertake the clean-up work needed to reopen to customers and clients. Many recipients have emphasised how important the grants have been in saving their businesses.

If your business is located in an eligible area, or you operate part-time in one of these areas, you may qualify for a grant.

We encourage you to apply if, as a result of the bushfires, your business has incurred damage or clean-up costs associated with fire, smoke, ash, power outages, etc.
