Two new self-learning courses help participants gain qualifications in export/import certificates (EICs) and Incoterms.

The EIC is the ICC’s international trade certification that provides comprehensive and practical knowledge on how to conduct cross-border transactions. The easy-to-understand online certification program is an ideal introduction for businesses and individuals starting to trade internationally, as well as a detailed reference for any experienced practitioner.

Meanwhile, Incoterms is short for “International Commercial Terms”, a set of 11 globally recognised standard trade terms created by the ICC to facilitate domestic and international business-to-business sales of goods. The course equips you with a practical understanding of the ICC’s globally recognised commercial trade terms.

Export/Import Certificate (EIC) - Self-paced Learning

EIC training provides comprehensive and practical knowledge on how to conduct export/import transactions and manage an international business.

Designed for international trade professionals, export and import managers and more, it covers a wide range of subjects on international business transactions and contracts, export and import finance and security devices, international logistics, shipping and sourcing, including:

• International Trade Overview
• Business Transactions and Contracts
• Financing and Security Devices
• International Logistics and Sourcing
• Global Business Management.

The training comprises 21 hours (five courses over four hours, plus a one-hour exam that requires a passing grade of 70 per cent). Upon completion, learners will be issued an accredited certificate for the program.

Incoterms® 2020 Certificate (INCO) - Self-paced Learning

Incoterms provide specific guidance for individuals involved in importing and exporting on a global scale.

Designed for international businesses, trade and logistics entities and banks, obtaining this credential directly from the ICC can swiftly validate your expertise and gain your clients’ trust.

Six lessons in four hours teach:

• Definition of Incoterms 2020
• Obligations Part 1
• Obligations Part 2
• Comparison Matrix
• Case Studies & Assessment

A final exam consists of a 60-minute examination which is live proctored via the internet. The passing grade is 70 per cent minimum. Upon passing the examination, learners will be issued an accredited certificate for the program.
