The video can be watched here and features four Victorian Chamber members talking about the critical role business will play in powering Victoria’s future. They are:

  • Professor Pascale Quester, Vice Chancellor and President of Swinburne University of Technology
  • Stan Liacos, CEO of the Queen Victoria Market
  • Michael Anthony, Cofounder of Sunified
  • Dominic Parsonson, Head of Sales at Titomic

Powering Victoria makes 61 recommendations across key four pillars:

  • Strengthening Victoria’s jobs and skills
  • Building the best state to operate a business
  • Driving Victoria’s economy
  • Growing Regional Victoria.

As Victoria’s peak business group representing more than 65,000 members and clients, the Victorian Chamber’s State Election Platform was developed following extensive consultation with businesses across all sectors.

The Victorian Chamber will release additional videos in the coming weeks, focussing on each of our key pillars. The Chamber has also launched a new podcast, Business Voice, featuring a number of business leaders talking about Victoria’s future. You can listen to it here.

To be attributed to Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief Executive Paul Guerra:

“Business must be front and centre of the Victorian election campaign because it’s business that will power Victoria’s future.

“Businesses are the heart of communities across Victoria. The private sector employs 86 per cent of Victorians so when business does well, Victoria does well, and Victorians do well.

“To power Victoria’s future we need to turbocharge the industries that will set us up for success by having the right jobs, skills, training, taxation, regulation and infrastructure.

Thank you to Pascale, Michael, Dominic, Stan and every business across Victoria that helped shaped our platform. Powering Victoria’s Future puts business in the driver’s seat and will ensure Victoria remains the place to be.”
