When it comes to energy, if we do nothing we are taking a massive risk. Since 2002, energy prices have increased by almost 200 per cent in Victoria. The Victorian Chamber continues to advocate to state and federal governments for sensible reforms that will bring energy costs under control.

Since 2002, energy prices have increased by almost 200 per cent in Victoria. The Victorian Chamber continues to advocate to state and federal governments for sensible reforms that will bring energy costs under control.

Informed businesses can also take control of their costs. That’s why the Victorian Chamber is providing an energy comparison service.

To ensure members are getting the best deal our experts are on standby. Simply register for a comparison call and within 10 minutes you will discover if there are potential savings for your home or business.

Our trusted professionals can also determine if your energy consumption makes you eligible for a large market energy contract or SME tariff, and can compare each scenario to determine the best outcome for your business.

Last financial year we helped secure over $200,000 in total savings for Victorian businesses that used our service.

No matter the size of your business, we hope you can benefit by taking advantage of this Victorian Chamber member service

In other news, last week we were delighted to host the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (ACCI) General Council Dinner. It was a pleasure to be joined by a Vice President of the Fair Work Commission, special guest speaker Joseph Catanzariti AM and prominent Melbourne business leaders - members of ACCI, the Victorian Chamber and the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce. Joseph presented on the different initiatives being implemented by the Fair Work Commission to lighten the load on employers & employees who use its services as the national workplace relations tribunal.

On a final note, today we were proud to be joined by more than 300 guests at Victoria University (VU), as part of our ignite series – a ground breaking collaboration between the Victorian Chamber, the state's leading universities and the Victorian Government. ignite brings together business leaders with universities in bespoke partnerships to research, develop and commercialise innovative products, services, business models and processes

At ignite+VU, the university showcased its expertise to industry, presenting on its revolutionary work surrounding mental health, physical activity and body image. It was a pleasure hearing from several of VU’s preeminent women researchers in these areas: Professor Alexandra Parker, Assoc. Professor Melinda Craike and Dr Siân McLean. Thank you to all who joined us for yet another successful ignite event.
