Every year, governments at all levels set aside funds to advance commercial and non-profit organisations. Ensure your business takes advantage of the opportunities and support that is on offer.

Made in Victoria – Manufacturing Growth Program

The Made in Victoria – Manufacturing Growth Program supports small and medium sized manufacturers to introduce new technologies, expand operations, improve productivity and enhance sovereign manufacturing capabilities.

Grants of between $50,000 to $250,000 are available but must be matched by a minimum cash co-contribution of $2 for every $1 granted.

Grants can be used to purchase new manufacturing equipment, improve existing products and processes, test new products and processes and develop supply chain capabilities.

The grants available will enable businesses to improve their productivity and competitiveness in local and global supply chains as well as create new jobs and upskill the Victorian workforce.

More information, criteria and applications can be found via the grant page.

Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises – Round 1

The Federal Government’s Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises will support businesses to upgrade or replace inefficient equipment to improve their energy efficiency.

Improved energy efficiency is seen as a crucial mechanism to address the increased energy costs facing businesses.

Small and medium businesses employing fewer than 200 employees can receive up to $25,000 to replace or upgrade existing equipment to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.

Grants from $10,000 to $25,000 can cover up to 100 per cent of eligible project expenditure.

The grants will be available on a first come first serve basis, so if this you fit the criteria, visit the grant page.

The objectives of the program are to:

  • improve energy efficiency practices and increase the uptake of energy efficient technologies
  • assist small and medium businesses to manage their energy usage and costs
  • reduce greenhouse gas emissions (to Federal Government target of 43 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030).

How the Victorian Chamber can help

For more grants to grow your business, the Victorian Chamber has put together this guide, and Grant Finder is a member-only exclusive resource to help you identify which local, state or federal government grants best suit your business needs.

The Victorian Chamber is committed to work in partnership with the business community and State Government to achieve the State’s ambitious goal of 95 per cent renewable energy use by 2035.

To support this vision, the Victorian Chamber recently released a new campaign, Achieving a Net-Zero Economy: Roadmap for Victorian Businesses, focusing on three core objectives: reducing energy prices, ensuring the reliable supply of energy, and supporting businesses transition to a net-zero economy.

By providing businesses with the support they need, we can create a more sustainable future and unlock new economic opportunities for our state.
