Take our survey and help inform the cost and ease of doing business in Victoria

19 October 2021

The Cost of Doing Business in Victoria Taskforce will assist the Victorian Chamber to further develop business-led policy recommendations that grow the competitiveness of Victoria’s economy and prosperity of its people.

Through research and analysis, supported by Nous, and involving business and thought leaders, the Taskforce will make recommendations that hold bipartisan appeal, are innovative and can create a step change in opportunity and prosperity.

In order to assist in this process, we want to know from our members and the broader business community what are the greatest costs to you doing business in Victoria.

We have created a short, three-minute survey that will help underpin our understanding of the costs that are the most significant impost so that we can assess them and then make recommendations to Government on how best to alleviate them.

The survey can be found here.

The Taskforce is chaired by Adrian Kloeden and Kate Mannix who will deliver a final report with recommendations. They will be supported by the Chamber’s Policy and Advocacy team and Nous.

The recommendations of the report will form the foundation for our election campaigns in 2022, and State and Federal budget submissions.

Policy taskforces play an important role in helping the Victorian Chamber evaluate existing policies and develop new ones. Past policy taskforces have been influential in shaping our recommendations on a range of policy and program areas of importance to business. In doing so, they have shaped the direction of public policy.
