Victorian Chamber unveils Australian-first cost of doing business index

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry today released its Cost and Ease of Doing Business in Victoria Report which features an Australian-first index that ranks the cost of doing business across all states and territories, member survey results and feedback from roundtables. This was part of the Cost and Ease of Doing Business Taskforce, headed by Victorian Chamber Vice President Adrian Kloeden and Regional Chair – Bendigo Kate Mannix.

The Federal Government has announced plans to introduce legislation that will make COVID-19 testing expenses tax deductible for individuals and businesses when used to attend a place of work.

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is elated by today’s announcement that the State Government’s ‘strong recommendation’ to work or study from home will be removed, while masks will no longer be needed in most indoor settings as of 11:59pm on Friday, 25 February 2022.
