Members nominated for Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards

The finalists for the 2022 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards have been announced and include several members of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Melbourne Chamber of Commerce.

The Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards recognise the achievements of exceptional manufacturers across the state and the key role manufacturing plays in Victoria.

Following a highly competitive nomination process, finalists are competing across 14 categories, including categories which celebrate leadership in the low carbon economy, outstanding responsiveness to COVID-19 and leadership in diversity and inclusion.

Several Victorian Chamber and Melbourne Chamber of Commerce members have been announced as finalists, including:

  • Australian Defence Apparel
  • Essential Flavours
  • Planet Innovation
  • Repurpose It
  • Starward

Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief Executive, Paul Guerra said:“We congratulate our members who were announced as finalists at the 2022 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards as well as all the other finalists. Their contributions to the manufacturing sector and Victoria is outstanding, and we wish them the best of luck.

“Manufacturing is a $31 billion industry for Victoria and has long been the cornerstone of our state’s economy and way of life. Victoria is no doubt a global competitor when it comes to the quality of goods produced in our state, and this sector is only going to continue growing and contributing significantly to the rest of Australia’s economic output.

“We look forward to celebrating manufacturing excellence at the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards on July 26.”
